Kutaisi International University (KIU) is a top-rated public university in Georgia and the very first ultra-modern campus-based higher education institution in the Caucasus region. The university provides a modern, broad-based, residential education on a par with leading institutions in the U.S. and Europe. KIU teachers include national and international professors, top-rated experts in their fields. International professors employed are mainly from Germany, due to the strategic partnership between KIU and TUM International (a subsidiary to Technical University of Munich (TUM)). Our honorary president is the former president of TUM Prof. Wolfgang Herrmann. KIU is supported by the International Charity Foundation - CARTU with a donation of 1 billion euros. The goal of the university is to be an international hub of education, science, and technology in the region.
